Getting the head off

[Kunundrum]

I just started working on my Civic

And I can't get the Head off the block.

I have removed the studs holding in the intake and the exaust manifold allong with the head bolts... and i'm still giving myself a hernia each time I try to Remove the head... what gives ?

i have not a clue, but maybe the head gasket is glueing both the head and block together, try carefully prying it off..

try tapping it with a rubber mallet or something of the sorts, and be sure you lift it straight off, there are lil dowels in it used to hold the head gasket in place when putting it together
